Thirteen researchers from the Faculty of Medicine among the most outstanding in Spain according to the CSIC
Download PdfThe latest update of the ranking of women researchers, compiled by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), includes 13 researchers affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lleida and IRBLleida among the most prominent in Spain based on their scientific impact.
This ranking, based on Google Scholar profiles and the H-index and number of citations, recognizes the research career and international impact of scientific publications.
Among the best-ranked researchers from the Faculty of Medicine are:
- Montse Rué (641)
- Loreta Medina (708)
- Mariona Jové (1,128)
- Montse Martínez (1,476)
- Aida Serra (3,254)
Also included are Anabel Sorolla, Judit Herreros, Núria Eritja, Andree Yeramian Hakim, Gemma Bellí, Ana Garcerà, Ester Vilaprinyó, and Judit Ribas, all affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and/or IRBLleida.
This recognition highlights not only the research excellence of our faculty and research staff but also their involvement in teaching the degrees in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, and Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
Dr. Montse Rué also emphasizes the link between research and university education:
"I began to love research when I delved into the study of mortality. Knowing what we die from helps us understand how we can live longer and better.
