Download PdfThe Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lleida (UdL) welcomed nearly 300 people this Saturday as part of the Open Day for families, an initiative that this year has gathered more than 3,600 attendees across its campuses.
Organised by the Vice-Rectorate for Students and University Life, the University Information and Guidance Unit (IOU) and the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medicine, this event offers a first-hand look at the degrees in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Biomedical Sciences and Medicine, as well as the centre’s facilities.
The session, held in the main lecture hall, began at 12:00 p.m. with an institutional presentation led by the dean, the coordinators of the different degree programmes and representatives of the Student Council. During this first part, the Faculty’s academic programmes were presented and questions from attending families were addressed.
Afterwards, participants toured the facilities until 3:00 p.m. The visit included classrooms, the study room, laboratories, skills labs, computer rooms and the library. Throughout the tour, student volunteers played a key role by providing direct information and sharing their experiences with attendees.
Regarding origin, most families came from the Ponent region (46.3%), followed by the rest of Catalonia (32.9%) and other parts of Spain (20.8%), with a notable presence from Aragón and other regions.
